I have finally found out what is included in the service pack and why i had to install it.

I work in tech support, and I will tell you know…Vista has a lot of problems, most of the calls that i get to my desk are about vista. Wah.

I hear you – I support Vista for my users too and no where do I say its bug free.
What I found from my experience is that Vista is new to non-techies and lots of stuff they are used to is simply different so user do what users do – PANIC !
The “you need to be an administrator to run this” seems to be the big one that really puts people off (not to mention Office 2007 which has ribbons instead of menus !)
