Start-ups, Venture Capatilst, Angel Finance - where are they ?

These are words that strike fear into the heart and minds of anyone that has been through the DOT COM bubble burst (explosion ?)

My question: has innovation stopped ? are there no more start-ups ? surely there are still some spotted-teenagers in their moms garage building the next “BIG THING” ?

So where are they ?

Yes, VC are harder to convince to invest money and Yes people run a mile before the elevator pitch is finished as soon as they hear “Tech Company” - however, there are still people/ companies out there who are looking for real investment opportunities.

The DOT COM days are over where large sums were handed over because your website had 1000 registered users or even worse - 1000 hits (HITS = How Idiots Tally Success)

But again, there are awesome ideas and business out there with real world value and real potential - surely ???

it’s time for a new revolution - let all those with ideas/ products/ widgets stand up and let’s get you financed !

p.s - on a real serious note: get in touch with me if you have the idea and need to cash - got people ready to invest.

In December of 2007 our consulting company (Co -Op 21) and The U.W.M Center for Urban Population Health (a collaboration between the University of Wisconsin Medical School, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee , and the Aurora Health Care System) agreed to develop a Deep Immersion Meditation/ Health Research project that targeted At - Risk families in Milwaukee County .

The lead researcher in our project is Prof. Richard J. Davidson of University of Wisconsin. Dr. Davidson is the Director of The U.W. Laboratory for Affective Neuroscience and the Waisman Laboratory for Brain Imaging & Behavior.

Funding for the research phase this project has already been secured. Our companies initial challenge is finding the funding needed to establish a Halfway House for ex offenders being released back into Milwaukee County (Wisconsin U.S.A.)who will participate in a research project that combines the latest insights of nueroscience with ancient meditation techniques in an effort to reform and rehabilitate anti social criminal behaviour among repeat offenders.

Such a facility can become self sustaining in less than 18 months in that the State of Wisconsin pays $72 per bed per day for residents in a Halfway House Under our reform and employment training plan a 100 bed facility would generate 3.2 million dollars per year in revenue. Among other things this facility will serve as a permanent facility for the ongoing research connected with the emerging new science of Mind Body medicine that will be conducted by Waisman Laboratories.

Mind Body medicine is an entirely new form of mainstream science that is less than five years old. Coop 21 is looking for partners that are interested in working in collaboration and cooperation with Waisman Laboratories in the after research phase of this project that will involve the development the “real world, rubber hits the road” (and open market) practical everyday applications of this new form of science that will range from the development powerful and effective non drug weight loss therapies to the development of computer software that uses classical music to accelerate the ordinary learning process.

If this type of investment seems like it might be of interest to you I would be happy to send you a copy of our Project Concept Paper & Business Plan.

With Warmest Regards,
Zachary Johnson
