This is too cool - I discovered this by accident and it made a world of a difference !

Ok - now to contain myself.  Lets start at the begining - One of the most frequent complaints I often hear  is about the fact that it takes Vista so long to load up.

I have now discovered a method (not a solution) that helps speed up Vistas boot time.

1 - Click on Vista Icon (where start used to be)

2 - type: msconfig and hit enter

3 -click on the Tab that says Startup

4 - un-tick  all applications that you don’t need to have started automatically (if you are not sure what the app does, Google it and make a decision)

5 - Click on OK

Next time you start up Vista you should notice an improvement  - Easy, quick and effective !
