As a follow up to the previously successful post of how to Extract Email Address from Outlook 2007 folder, here is another simple and yet very effective method to extract the folder names out of Outlook 2007.
Why would you need to do that ?
most of us use multiple folders to manage our mail. Yet with so many folders this can add up and gets to a point that mail can be filled under so many folders that its hard to find anything.
By exporting the folder names and sub folder names to Excel, you can get a picture of what your mail folder structure is like and make any changes you see fit.
Here is how to use it:
1. save a copy of this Excel spreadsheet on your computer
2. open the Excel spreadsheet
3. You will see a button in there called Export Outlook Folder – click on it (make sure you have allowed for Macros to run)
4. You will be asked to select the folder that you want to start with (this is in case you have multiple PST files)
5. The folder names will be displayed in Excel for you.
Just another tip from the Techie Guy 🙂
ps. if you are a developer and want to use the Source Code, you can with pleasure ! a nice comment posted here is all I ask in return 🙂
